The villages of Lake Annecy:

Annecy, which is world famous for its lake, surrounding mountains and canals has drawn the comparison of being affectionately referred to as the ‘Venice of the Alps’. These beautiful and romantic features make it an ideal location to spend your holidays. This picturesque and elegant town has managed to retain its authentic historical charm. The old quarter in particular is celebrated for its castle and old prison set amongst its boutiques, bars and restaurants which open up onto cobbled streets and add to the town’s character. As well as the old town, Annecy is made up of villages such as Annecy-le-vieux, Veyrier-du-lac, Menthon-Saint-Bernard and Talloires on the Eastern side of the lake, and Sevrier, Saint-Jorioz and Duignt on the Western shore. All of these villages are connected by a cycle path which follows the edge of the lake. Ther are a number of water sports that you can take part in on Lake Annecy such as water-skiing, wakeboarding, stand-up-paddle, windsurfing, pedalo… Take your time and relax on one of the many pretty beaches around the lake, with its magnificent turquoise water. Surrounded by mountains which are reachable within minutes by car, breathe in the fresh alpine air by taking part in activities such as mountain biking, hiking, rock-climbing or even paragliding. With its ideal location, you can reach Geneva airport from Annecy in just 30 minutes by car, Chamonix in an hour, or Lyon in an hour and a half.

La Clusaz

Just 30km from Lake Annecy, at the heart of the Aravis mountain range, La Clusaz has maintained its charm and authenticity as an authentic mountain village. In both Summer and Winter, the resort offers an inviting and welcoming ambiance, centred around its mountain sports. The resort also boats one of the largest Nordic skiing areas in all of Haute-Savoie, with 86km of piste. Megève
